01

Compare like-for-like sites

More packs issued do not necessarily mean waste. A site may have more floor area, visitors or operating hours. Document service area, frequency, surfaces and contract scope, then select a measure linked to actual work.

Separate extra services from recurring work. An exceptional cleaning job should not look like a continuing decline in team efficiency. Contract-margin discussions become more useful when the underlying activity is visible.

02

Standardise consumption records

Standardise record fields, stock handover and responsibilities across sites while keeping preparation instructions product-specific. Record date, quantity, destination and recipient; review returns and damaged stock rather than treating them as acceptable consumption.

Begin concentrates at a site able to follow the specified preparation and measurement. Standardisation creates value through clear, reviewable procedures, not by forcing one product or ratio onto every material.

03

Turn data into decisions

Review consumption alongside labour time, rework and client observations. If chemical use falls but labour hours rise, calculate the overall effect before claiming savings. Update the baseline whenever contract scope changes.

For a quotation, provide sites, categories, expected quantities and packaging. This supports consolidated purchasing and comparison of alternatives. General guidance never replaces specifications and safety information for the actual product.
